Today I had my first taste of what it feels like to have a real job! I went to Cambridge where BAS are based and I packed my Pbox and got kitted out ready for my trip down south! Packing has never been my strong point as most of my friends and family know! However, I managed it. I packed all of my clothes, including an array of fluffy socks, jumpers and so so much cholcolate that I really hope I've got enough for 18 months; If not, I'm sure I will survive! Thanks Terri, Alan, Hugh and everyone else that gave me tips of what to pack! So this box and bag are heading down south in the next few weeks ...i won't see it until December time-probably in time for Christmas! I then got fully kitted out in the specialist BAS gear. This Blog started in Antarctica where I was a Marine Scientist for 18 months. Since then, it has followed my progression into a Professional Marine Scientist, Diver and Skipper. Now I am a Freelance Marine Scientist, and director of my own company and offer my services of diving, skippering, deckhand and Open Water swim coaching.
