Personal box & extreme gear!

Today I had my first taste of what it feels like to have a real job!

I went to Cambridge where BAS are based and I packed my Pbox and got kitted out ready for my trip down south!

Packing has never been my strong point as most of my friends and family know!  However, I managed it. I packed all of my clothes, including an array of fluffy socks, jumpers and so so much cholcolate that I really hope  I've got enough for 18 months; If not, I'm sure I will survive! Thanks Terri, Alan,  Hugh and everyone else that gave me tips of what to pack!

So this box and  bag are heading down south in the next few weeks ...i won't see  it until December time-probably in time for Christmas!

I then got fully kitted out in the specialist BAS gear. Most of the kit is a male fit so I had to keep changing sizes to make my womanly bum and hips fit! I feel very ready and excited to go to Rothera in November now  - can't wait!

I also met Ben today who is the marine biologist, so we spent a bit of time getting to know each other while looking around the aquarium with the amazing species that we will be working with - so that was awesome!

Now back to my summer job as a tug pilot at Lasham until September when I officially start - before then I've got lots of reading and diving to do!
